Lambda Performance – from zero to hero
Everything started with the true american icon Ford GT 40, which has won four times in a row the infamous 24hours of Le Mans, just two years after the GT40 hitted the market in 1964. Ford brought the back the winning flounder with the GT back in 2002. To celebrate 50 years of motorsport, legend Lambda Performance Ford GT40 starts with a radically redesigned Ford GT GT3 in the GT Masters season 2013. For the specialized manufacturer Lambda Ford GT Wiesbaden performance, the fundamental changes on Ford GT GT3 were a big challenge . The sports car, that is no longer produced since 2006, but strong sake to present it in the league of latest super sports car as a serious competitor and contender for the podium places . 2013 was stunning for them.
Even at first glance you might see the large optical differences to the previous model. The 2013er Ford GT is once again becomes significantly broader and the revised aero package underlines the unique design . The inner values have been completely revised. The vehicle is powerew by a Ford Racing 5.3L V8 engine from Roush Yates with around 530 hp this season, combined with a new 6-speed sequential transmission of X -Trac . Also new are the chassis, brakes and all the electronics . The homologation weight is 1.190kg , which is supplemented by additional 40kg because of the ” Balance of Performance ” .
