This Volkswagen Beetle GRC is ready to rally Rockstar Energy Drink style
When we think about a Beetle, except those classy ones, well, we see the same type of people which are driving the new Mini. Won´t comment this any further, feel free to take over below or at Facebook. With this mutated Rallycross-Beetle with all-wheel-drive and a TSI engine that delivers more than 560 hp (412 kW), Volkswagen will enter motorsports in the U.S. this summer. We might change our thoughts, at least about this one. Partner is Andretti Autosport to form the Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross team, running two cars in the series for drivers, the one and only Tanner Foust and Scott Speed. The team will initially compete this season with modified Polo rally cars, built on the chassis that won the 2013 World Rally Championship for drivers and manufacturers. Rallycross is the fastest growing form of motorsports in the U.S., attracting big crowds at venues across the country. Cars are pitted against each other and the clock in a series of heats on a closed course that’s usually a mixture of dirt and pavement, with jumps of 20 meters and more. For sure, this is great move to get Volkswagen back in the game in the U.S. Told you before, Rockstar Energy Drink style. Stay tuned for more to come.
